Harrow School Sailing Club on Ruislip Lido
These old images and postcards mainly show the Lido in the 1960's when swimming and boating were allowed.
There are some more recent images also on this site and if you have any that you think might be of interest, old or new, please e-mail them in to me. The e-mail address is at the foot of this page. In the 1960's Ruislip Lido was THE place to go in west London. Indeed people travelled from miles around to visit Ruislip Lido where you could boat, swim, paddle, ride the train and even watch water skiing sometimes.
Today the Lido is almost as busy as it has ever been, but apart from the miniature railway being longer the attractions are fewer an swimming and boating are not allowed.
